Caption: Councilman Bill Gates

Councilman Bill Gates was honored with an ASPRA*tions Award for his contributions to public education, by the Arizona School Public Relations Association (ASPRA). 

Councilman Gates was nominated for the award by the Glendale Union High School District, with schools in the Sunnyslope area of District 3, which referred to the Councilman as “the government official all public schools dream of – with heart, soul and a resounding voice in support of local schools in the state.” 

Councilman Gates said, “Our public schools give every young person the opportunity to reach for their dreams and become anything they want to be.  I will continue to be a strong supporter of our public school districts and the high-performing teachers who change lives every day.”

The Arizona Schools Public Relations Association is a professional organization that provides support to educators involved in school public relations, as well as professional development activities for school public relations specialists.
