Today, Councilman Simplot hosted leaders of the business, residential and development communities on a tour of Camelback Road, from Central Avenue to the I-17 freeway. The purpose of the tour was to highlight the potential development opportunities in this area.
“The light rail has brought new life to businesses and residences all along the alignment,” said Councilman Simplot. “Camelback Road is taking longer to develop than I would like, so we are going to try and help speed up this process.”
This is just the start of Councilman Simplot’s plan to bring more attention to the Camelback Road area. The next focus will be west of the I-17 freeway to underscore the potential economic opportunities Grand Canyon University brings to this area.
