Phoenix City Councilman Bill Gates will host two outreach events in June to connect with residents.  His monthly coffee chat will be from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, June 9, at the Paradise Valley Mall Food Court, 4568 E. Cactus Road. 

Guest speakers at the chat are David Lin, M.D., who will share advice on healthy-heart living and getting appropriate screening, along with Deputy Chief Frank Salomon, from the Phoenix Fire Department, who will discuss pool and water safety. 

Residents also can discuss concerns and provide feedback on city issues at his June office hours (by appointment only). Councilman Gates will be available from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the John C. Lincoln Cowden Center, 9202 N. Second St.
