The original cars driven by Batman in Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight” trilogy will cruise into Phoenix on July 2.
The public will have the chance to see The Tumbler and the Bat-Pod vehicles firsthand from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Desert West Park, at 67th and Virginia avenues. That evening, Councilman Michael Nowakowski’s office will host a free screening of “The Dark Knight,” in Desert West Park.
“This event will give the public a chance to see two of the coolest cars in movie history in person, and then watch them again on the big screen – for free,” said Councilman Nowakowski.
The high-powered transportation vehicles also will be showcased on Tuesday, July 3, at The “Light Up The Sky” event, at Maryvale Stadium, 3600 N. 51st Ave. Bring your cameras!
The Tumbler and Bat-Pod are touring the nation in preparation for the release of “The Dark Knight Rises,” the finale to “The Dark Knight” trilogy. The movie will open on Friday, July 20.
