Councilmembers Bryan Jeffries and Bill Gates are partnering with the Association of the U.S. Navy Saguaro Chapter to support the Phoenix Military Family Support Group’s effort to send care packages to deployed military members.  The care package event will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Sweet Tomatoes, 10046 N. 26th Drive (on the east side of I-17 between Peoria and Dunlap avenues). 

Residents are asked to donate various items including small canned food, Gatorade, juice boxes, microware popcorn and more.  A complete list of suggested donations is available online at phoenix.gov/district2 and phoenix.gov/district3.  Monetary donations to help pay for the shipping costs also will be accepted.  All donations are tax deductible.
