Vice Mayor Michael Johnson invites Phoenix-based arts organizations to a free arts and culture grant orientation from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 9, at Burton Barr Central Library, auditorium, 1221 N. Central Ave.

This seminar will provide information about the grant application process for 2012-13.  The categories include: General Operating Support II, for emerging Phoenix arts and cultural organizations; Rental Support, to provide rental support for organizations in the downtown core through their presentations in city-owned facilities; Festivals, supporting Phoenix-based arts and culture festivals; and Arts Education, to support learning through the arts.

The deadline to submit grants applications is Monday, July 30.
