The city of Phoenix will begin same-day service for trash and recycling on Monday, July 9. Residents have been notified, and for the first time ever, trash and recycling will be collected on the same day instead of two different days. City Manager David Cavazos and Mayor Greg Stanton will be in a Phoenix neighborhood to meet residents and watch Monday’s “new way, same day” collection begin.
