Phoenix Public Library Receives 2008 Digital Pioneer Award
Phoenix Public Library received the 2008 Digital Pioneer Award in recognition of exceptional leadership and excellence in delivering digital media to the community. The award was presented at Digipalooza OverDrive’s International User Group Conference in Cleveland, Ohio.
Greater Phoenix Digital Library's downloadable media circulation recently surpassed New York Public Library as the nation's largest. The library was Arizona's first public library to make downloadable media such as e-books, audiobooks and classic films and documentaries available to the public and was founder of the Greater Phoenix Digital Library, a consortium of 10 libraries in central Arizona.
