Residents are invited to bring their family and friends to join Councilman Michael Nowakowski for a free Movie in the Park at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at El Reposo Park, 502 E. Alta Vista Road, near Seventh and Southern avenues.  

The evening's presentation will be the family film Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax,” featuring the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White.

This event is part of the Verano Sano campaign to encourage water safety all year long, sponsored by Phoenix City Councilman Michael Nowakowski, SRP, Cox Communications and La Campesina/88.3 FM.  There will be free swimming lessons and CPR training from 5 to 7 p.m.
