Residents are invited to bring their family and friends to join Councilman Michael Nowakowski for a free “Movie in the Park” at sundown Saturday, Aug. 25, at Kuban Park, 3275 W. Sherman St., just north of Buckeye Road.

The evening's presentation will be the family film Dr. Seuss’ “The Lorax,” featuring the voices of Danny DeVito, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White.

Saturday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m., lend a hand and help clean up Kuban Park and the surrounding neighborhood.  The park’s water slide will be open to help volunteers and movie goers cool off from 4 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the city of Phoenix Water Department, in partnership with the city’s Parks and Recreation and Neighborhood Services departments, the city’s Office of Arts and Culture and Councilman Michael Nowakowski’s office.
