Residents are invited to attend Councilwoman Thelda Williams’ District 1 community breakfast at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 28, at the Deer Valley Airport Restaurant, 702 W. Deer Valley Road.

The topic of this month’s breakfast will be an economic development trip to Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai that explored opportunities for economic growth in Phoenix, specifically direct flights to Asia. John Chan, director of the city’s Community & Economic Development Department, and Bruce MacTurk, deputy director, will be on hand to discuss the city and Greater Phoenix Economic Council’s joint efforts to promote international trade and investment in Phoenix.

Residents also will have the opportunity to discuss any city issues with Councilwoman Williams.  Breakfast is available for $4.39 (not including tax and gratuity). Beverages will be paid for by the District 1 office.
