Phoenix City Councilman Tom Simplot invites residents to join him at his Westside community meeting at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Golden Gate Community Center, 1625 N. 39th Ave., just north of McDowell Road.

This month’s meeting is an opportunity for the public to learn about getting involved in PlanPHX, the city’s update to the General Plan, featuring an interactive website. Planning and Development Department representatives will be on hand to present information on this new program.

PlanPHX’s goal is to increase public involvement in the future development of Phoenix. The program is focused on community, economy, environment and infrastructure as key areas requiring public feedback.
