Phoenix City Councilman Bill Gates will host three outreach events this month to connect with the District 3 community.  Residents can provide feedback or share ideas on city issues during his monthly office hours (by appointment only). Councilman Gates will be available from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at the John C. Lincoln Cowden Center, 9202 N. Second St.  Residents can schedule an appointment by contacting Councilman Gates’ office at 602-262-7441 or email council.district.3@phoenix.gov.

Residents also can meet the Councilman to discuss city-related topics during a lunch chat from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.  The chat will be held at the Theatre Artists Studio, 4848 E. Cactus Road, Suite 406.

District 3 neighbors also are invited to join Councilman Gates and city staff for the “S” Mountain dedication ceremony from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15.  The community event will recognize the mountain’s historic designation by the city – just in time for the 100th anniversary celebration of the Sunnyslope community.  Residents should meet at the base of the mountain on Camino Vista Drive and parking is available on Vogel Avenue between First and Second avenues.  Afterwards, residents are encouraged to meet for breakfast at Eye Opener Restaurant, 524 W. Hatcher Road, followed by a tour of the Sunnyslope Historical Society, located at 737 E. Hatcher Road.

For any questions related to these events, contact Councilman Gates’ office at 602-262-7441 or email council.district.3@phoenix.gov.  To stay connected with the Councilman, residents are encouraged to follow him on Twitter at @BillGatesAZ or like his Facebook Page (Bill Gates Arizona).
