Phoenix Parks Celebrating Sports Complex Renovation

Parks Mission Graphic for WebRecreational athletes in central Phoenix are getting a big boost from a major renovation at the Encanto Park Sports Complex. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department just unveiled the improvements at the complex, located at 2121 N. 15th Ave., which include:

  • Eight new post-tension tennis courts (includes movable shade umbrellas and chairs)
  • Three new multi-use pickleball and youth tennis courts
  • Resurfaced existing basketball courts (three) and volleyball courts (four)
  • New sand for sand volleyball courts (two)
  • Three new chilled drinking fountains
  • New fencing throughout the complex
  • Three new shade ramadas
  • New decomposed granite
  • New site furniture that includes tables, benches, and nets.
  • Newly painted racquetball court and walls throughout the facility

The improvement project cost $858,980, funded by the Phoenix Parks and Preserve Initiative.
