Animal Cruelty Task Force Poster Contest Deadline Oct. 31

Thelda Williams for News ReleasesThe Animal Cruelty Task Force poster contest deadline is fast approaching! Councilwoman Thelda Williams encourages fourth and fifth grade students in Phoenix to enter the city’s contest before the deadline of Halloween Day, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.

Prizes include: $100 for first place; $50 for second place; and other prizes for honorable mentions. 

The poster contest seeks to engage young residents in their communities as well as honor the talent and creativity of Phoenix youth. 

The contest is open to fourth and fifth graders who attend schools located in the city of Phoenix. Theme: Prevent and report animal abuse and neglect.

Posters may not be larger than 11 x 17 inches in size and must be in printed form. Please include student’s name, grade and contact information with each entry.  

Deliver or mail to: Phoenix City Hall, Attention Councilwoman Williams, 200 W. Washington St., 11th floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003.  

Winning posters may be featured in the Animal Cruelty Task Force’s education campaign, including billboards and public service announcements.
