After the fiasco yesterday, in which zero recommendations were passed to curb the egregious practice of City employee pension spiking, Phoenix Council members Sal DiCiccio and Jim Waring called for reconsideration on the issue.
Just like the food tax giving only Mayor Stanton's proposal and not presenting any other options, it would be reckless for the Council to act without all the information.
The public has not seen any real numbers on possible savings from different models. The public deserves a complete picture of all options to judge what a real proposal is and what it is not.
Moving forward without all the necessary information would further diminish Phoenix's credibility and undeniably prevent us from acting in the best interest of the taxpayer.
