The city’s Public Works staff will be working on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 12.  Customers with Monday collection will have their trash and recycling picked up as regularly scheduled.  This is the first time in more than 20 years that trash and recycling will be collected on Veterans Day for Phoenix customers.  Also, the city’s transfer stations will be closed to the public.  

Since same-day collection was implemented this summer, residents have to remember changes on only three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.  To view how residents are impacted by these three holidays, visit phoenix.gov and click on the icon “Holiday Collection Schedule."
