Councilman Bill Gates will host a community clean-up event from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, at Cave Creek Park, 25th and Sweetwater avenues.  The clean-up day will consist of picking up trash and doing some minor trimming of the vegetation.

Also, residents are encouraged to participate in a Shred-A-Thon and turkey donation drive from 8 a.m. to noon, at Phoenix First Assembly Church, 13613 N. Cave Creek Road. Residents can take old bills, tax documents and other records containing personal information to be shredded. The first three boxes are free and each additional box is $5. Also, frozen turkey donations will be accepted by the church for the needy this holiday season.
