The city’s Public Works staff will observe Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22. 

Customers with Thursday collection will have their trash and recycling picked up on Friday, Nov. 23. Friday’s collection will move to Saturday, Nov. 24.  Transfer stations will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 23. 

As a reminder, residents with curbside collection should have their containers on the curb by 5:30 a.m. to ensure timely collection.  The containers also should be four feet apart. 

Since same-day collection was implemented this summer, residents have to remember changes on only three holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. To view how residents are impacted by these three holidays, visit phoenix.gov and click on the icon “Holiday Collection Schedule” (bottom right).
