Councilman Bill Gates and his staff will host the second annual holiday mixer and volunteer appreciation event to meet and mingle with District 3 residents from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at the Notorious P.I.G. restaurant, 3230 E. Thunderbird Road.
The restaurant is in the process of a name change so they also go by the new name of Hammered Hog.
No formal presentation will be given; however, city staff will attend to answer any questions or issues.
Residents are asked to bring donations of travel-size hygiene products (deodorant, shaving cream, razors, etc.) or gift cards to Wal-mart, Sam’s Club or Staples for the United Service Organizations that support members of the military and their families.
