Phoenix Public Library Kicks Off Winter Reading Program Jan. 12
Read for the fun of it and earn prizes this winter at Phoenix Public Library. The annual winter reading program, “Catch BookBreath @ your Phoenix Public Library,” kicks off Jan. 12 and runs through March 14 at all library locations.
Children up to 18 years old are eligible to participate in the program and earn prizes by spending time reading, or listening to, books. Everyone who signs up for the program will receive a free book log and will have the opportunity to earn fun prizes. Participants can earn a bonus prize by reading with a family member.
Kick-off programs are scheduled at four locations:
- “Doggies of the Wild West and Calamity Jo’s Comedy Magic Show”
9:30 – 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. - “BookBreath’s Party”
3:30 – 4:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, Ocotillo Library, 102 W. Southern Ave. - “BookBreath’s Party”
2 – 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, Yucca Library, 5648 N. 15th Ave. - “BookBreath’s Party”
3 – 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, Saguaro Library, 2808 N. 46th St.
