Councilwoman Thelda Williams Hosts Community Forum

Councilwoman Thelda Williams discusses “Forward Thinking: Surviving Hard Times” at the next District 1 Community Forum, 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 7. The forum will be at Arizona State University West Campus, 4701 W. Thunderbird Road.

This free half-day event provides a great networking opportunity for neighborhood volunteers to meet each other and learn about fund-raising strategies, volunteer retention, city programs and community organizing techniques to help start or grow neighborhood associations and Block Watches.

There will be a presentation by the United Way titled, “Building Financial Capacity” and Ray Yocopis of the city of Phoenix Neighborhood Services Department will present “Managing Volunteers.”
