Councilman Simplot Invites You to the Movies
Drive-ins are generally a thing of the past but on Sunday, May 30, film lovers can enjoy the next best thing - a movie classic under the stars. District 4 Councilman Tom Simplot kicks off summer with a free showing of the "The Princess Bride" at the Steele Indian School Park Outdoor Amphitheater at 8 p.m.
"Pack a picnic basket, bring your kids and a blanket, relax and enjoy a classic movie on a classic American holiday," Councilman Simplot said.
Steele Indian School Park is located in the heart of the city at Third Street and Indian School and is the perfect place for a night of family fun and entertainment. This event is being co-sponsored by Cox Communications and Basha's Markets who will be giving away free ice cream to the first 500 people.
