“Lost Ark” Found Again at a Special, Fall Moonlight Movie

Swashbuckling adventure comes to Steele Indian School Park, with the return of Moonlight Movies in November. Hosted by District 4 Councilman Tom Simplot, the next film in the series is the action-packed favorite, “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” screening at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. The Moonlight Movies are free, outdoor films, held at the park at Third Street and Indian School Road.

“‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ is a great adventure. It has everything: danger, drama and the unexpected,” said Simplot. “Nobody fights the bad guys better than Indiana Jones.”

“Raiders of the Lost Ark” tells the story of intrepid Dr. Jones, played by Harrison Ford. He is on the hunt for the Ark of the Covenant, a biblical artifact with awesome powers. Hot on his heels are Nazi soldiers, looking to use the Ark for their own evil purposes. It’s a neck-and-neck fight to see who will control the Ark and the fate of the world.
