Councilman Nowakowski Receives Spirit of South Mountain Award
Councilman Michael Nowakowski received the Spirit of South Mountain Award from the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce for his community efforts that have contributed to the growth, prosperity and positive economic development of the South Mountain and Laveen Villages.
Nowakowski was honored in the government agency award category. “This is for individuals or organizations that have laid a foundation for prosperity, demonstrated a commitment to community, and helped generate an interest in the actions of the people in the South Mountain and Laveen villages,” said Lisa Perez Bray, chair of the South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce.
South Mountain/Laveen Chamber of Commerce Spirit of South Mountain Awards Dinner is the chamber’s annual signature event that recognizes 15 individuals and organizations. Other award categories include Education, Volunteer/Non-Profit Organizations, Individual Volunteers, Governmental Agencies and Businesses.
