Councilman Nowakowski and Chief Jack Harris Host Reception Honoring Commanders of South Mountain Police Precinct

Councilman Michael Nowakowski and Police Chief Jack F. Harris will host a reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, at the South Mountain Community Center, 212 E. Alta Vista Road, to say farewell to Cmdr. David Faulkner.

Faulkner has served as commander of the South Mountain Police Precinct for more than three years and is moving to oversee the Violent Crime Bureau. Faulkner has been with the Phoenix Police Department for almost 27 years.

The reception also will welcome Cmdr. Jeffery Alexander as the new commander of the South Mountain Precinct. Alexander has been with Phoenix Police Department for 20 years and has spent the past year as the city manager’s liaison at City Hall.

“It’s been a pleasure working with Cmdr. Faulkner for the past year and we wish him well in his new position,” said Nowakowski. “I’ve worked closely with both commanders and our precinct is safer because of their leadership. I am confident they will be equally successful in their new roles and responsibilities.”
