Phoenix Public Library Hosts Artist Kirk Hays June 2

Burton Barr Central Library will host artist Kirk Hays for a presentation and discussion of his work at 7 p.m. Monday, June 2, at the Pulliam Auditorium, 1221 N. Central Ave. The free program is part of Phoenix Public Library’s FirstMondays Art Salon.

Hays is a local artist who works in oil on panel. His portraits push beyond the physical representation of the subject to reveal their personality.

A litigation attorney, Hays divides his time between his law career and passion for creating art. He became interested in art while pursing his philosophy and law degrees, afterwhich he continued his art study at Phoenix Community College and Scottsdale Artists’ School.

Phoenix Public Library is a system of 14 branch libraries and the Burton Barr Central Library. For more information, call 602-262-4636 or visit phoenixpubliclibrary.org.
