Summer Program Registration Opens April 26, Swim Program Registration Opens May 1
Full summer program schedules, including full-day supervised recreation programs, will be viewable online April 11 and registration will open April 26 at 10:30 a.m. Swim class and recreational swim/dive team schedules are now viewable and registration for pool and swim programs will open May 1 at 6:30 p.m.
Please note that the city’s trial budget contains proposed closures of department facilities and elimination of programs that if enacted would go into effect July 1. This would impact summer programs many of which run into or through July. The Phoenix City Council will formally approve a final budget in late May. Because it’s unknown which reductions will be included in the final city budget, we will open and accept registrations for our full summer schedule of classes, full-day supervised recreation programs, learn-to-swim classes and swim/dive team programs.
Summer programs will start as regularly scheduled in late spring, but because proposed facility closures and program cuts would take effect July 1, it may not be possible to complete full-summer and multi-week programs. If you wish to withdraw prior to the start of any program that must be shortened due to budget reductions, we will issue full refunds to the master name on the account in the same form of the original payment. If you wish to go ahead and participate in a program that is shortened by budget cuts, we will issue pro-rated refunds for any cancelled portion.
