The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Board created an Ad Hoc Committee of golfers, Phoenix residents, board members and Citizens Golf Advisory Committee members to conduct public meetings to discuss the city's golf program in light of the ongoing deficit of its golf courses.

After an extensive public process, the committee approved several recommendations for Phoenix golf course. The Phoenix City Council is now considering formal action on the recommendations of the Golf Ad Hoc Committee. View the full results of the March 6 Phoenix City Council meeting including a detailed description of discussion.

The Phoenix City Council also will consider right-sourcing options for Phoenix golf courses.
