Park Amenities

Maryvale Community Center (located north of Indian School Road) on 51st Ave. provides recreational, educational and social activities for citizens of all ages. The new community center, along with the new Palo Verde Library, creates a one-of-a-kind community complex with a shared 100-seat auditorium featuring state-of-the-art sound equipment provided through the generous support of SRP.

The new 27,000-square-foot Maryvale Community Center cost $6.53 million to build, which came entirely from 2001 bonds.

Gymnasiun: Basketball and Volleyball

Multipurpose Room: seats up to 190 people theater style, available for receptions

Youth/teen lounge: billards, video games, foosball, teen activities

Senior Lounge: coffee, card games, board games, puzzles and television

Auditorium: seats up to 125 people theater style, stage, projection screen and sound system

Arts and crafts room: kiln and classroom seting

Fitness Center: Universal units, bikes, elliptical cross trainer and walking track (16 laps= 1 mile)

Dance rooms (two): sound system and ballet bars

Kitchen: stove, microwave, refrigerator

Over 45 classes are offered during seasonal six week sessions each year. Go on-line to browse or register for all of these classes and programs.

Dance: jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, flamenco, belly dancing, salsa, breakdancing and capoeira

Youth and Teen: teen council, Go Girl Go, Young Men Development, tae kwon do, drama, ceramics, private music lessons after school activities, teen room, video games, billiards and more.

Adult and Senior: midday movies, ceramics, card games
