2013 Season dates: The garden will close for summer on May 31 and reopen on Oct. 1.
Hours & Admission:
Regular Public Hours at the Garden are Tuesday through Sunday; we are closed on Monday. Weekday hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekend hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For the months of February and March, all hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our regular season opens in October and ends in May.
Ro Ho En hosts Free Artlink Events, open to the public, on the First Friday of every month during the season, from 4 p.m. to dusk (about 7 p.m.). Check our Facebook page for special announcements regarding First Friday at the Garden (a cancellation notice will be posted should there be a private event reservation).
Group & School tours are available, call 602-256-3204 or 602-274-8700. Fee: private groups $7.00 per person, and school tours $4.00 per person.

The Japanese Friendship Garden - Ro Ho En features more than 1,500 tons of handpicked rock, more than 50 varieties of plants, flowing streams, a 12-foot waterfall and a Koi pond. The Garden is the product and shared cultural vision of the Sister Cities of Phoenix and Himeji, Japan.
The City of Phoenix owns and maintains Ro Ho En. Through a unique partnership, the Japanese Friendship Garden, Inc., a 501-3C non profit organization, operates the garden during its open hours.
