Prior to using AIRS, you must have:
- Touch-tone telephone - this allows you to enter information directly into the AIRS
- Permit number - this is located in the upper left corner of the permit form. This number identifies the address of the project to be inspected.
- Inspection code - Click on the hyperlink to view the types of inspection codes available and select the appropriate code for your needs. The system also provides a verbal listing of the code types.
- Date for the inspection - In general, your inspection will be scheduled for the next business day. An inspection date is necessary to cancel an inspection, to check the results of an inspection, or to schedule an inspection more than one business day in advance.
