VISION

Today, we find ourselves in the struggle between what is acceptable and what is morally right.  Society has vanquished its preference to stand for the ethical decisiveness required for a society to flourish, abandoning the standards that provide foundation for moral soundness.  The lines have been blurred between what is right and what is acceptable, emasculating the very core of determinable virtuous behavior.  It is determinable because it is a choice to be made by all alike.

Today is the day we begin to seriously consider the mapping of our future by analyzing the topography of our current affairs.  Values are not legislated; they are absorbed by families as they are modeled by leaders.  It is time we stood for those ethical standards that stimulate, arouse, and kindle goodness, kindness, compassion, tenderness and mercy while standing for justice, equality, and truth.  No person is an island to themselves; they are an integral part of the organism we call society.  Every member of this organism is vital to the future growth, development, and maturation of our society.

Today we must choose to become interdependent on each other and live our lives for the enrichment of our communities.  Today is the day we choose to be a better person, a better parent, a better neighbor, a better citizenCrime and disorder is not a police problem, it is a societal problem that can only be addressed by the people of that society.  Apathy is born of unresolved conflict and it is our duty to redress those conditions that nurture crime and disorder and decisively deal with those conditions.

Vision:

  • Unification of faith based organizations, non-profit organizations, government, social services, and community organizations to address Maryvale Precinct’s criminal and social needs.
  • Develop a web site whereby these services can assault those social concerns in an organized manner and provide the communication that is necessary to ensure these programs are successfully implemented.
  • Localize the community and their many assets and provide those resources necessary to promote revitalization and restoration to their immediate neighborhoods.
  • The concept of this program is the continued evolution of community based policing.  Interoperability will be the key for success in this endeavor.  Behavior can only be modified when appropriate resources are applied to the source of any real or perceived problem.
