Program Overview:
Canyon Corridor Weed and Seed Clean-Ups Granada Neighborhood Association, Cordova Neighborhood Association, and Maricopa County Adult Probation Department, have teamed up with Canyon Corridor Weed and Seed to clean alleys, vacant lots, vacant homes and anything that helps reduce blight and/or crime in our neighborhood. Councilman Simplot’s Office staff has provided invaluable help by providing the dumpsters and tool trailers that make these events possible. Cleanups are occurring almost if not every weekend. Our most noticeable clean-up to our residents has been the alley that borders the northern part of Cielito Park. This area is used by our residents as a walking and jogging trail. You will see as needed clean-ups in this area as part of your neighborhood revitalization efforts. The following Recap is from December 2006 through January 2007:
