Spending Categories and Items Applicable to Those Categories

Spending categories should include category items and any related items, materials, or charges used in conjunction with the category items. Example: Category Item-Camera and the film used in the camera would both be listed under the AV Equipment Category.

EXCEPTION : Supplies that are used for office equipment items (paper, ink cartridges, printer ribbons, toner, etc…) should be listed under Office Supplies Category not the Office Equipment Category.

• AV EQUIPMENT :VIDEO: VCRs, videotapes, video camcorders, laser disc players, laser discs, video monitors, televisions; Cameras: Cameras, film, film developing fees, tripods; Sound Equipment: Stereos, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, tuners, CD players, tape players, digital tape players, CDs, tapes, records, am/fm radios, PA systems.
  
• PRINTING SERVICES : Printing or copying services for newsletters, postcards, brochures, flyers, badges, notes, cards, handbooks, handouts, meeting or event announcements.

• COMPUTER EQUIPMENT : Computers, scanners, printers, deskjets, plotters, laptops, software, hardware, video cards, memory boards, cables, compact flash card w/adapter, miscellaneous computer equipment or parts.

• OFFICE EQUIPMENT : FAX machines, copy machines, typewriters, large paper cutters, office furniture, file cabinets, desks.

• OFFICE SUPPLIES :Miscellaneous office supplies: Postage, shipping expenses, Block Watch patrol kit cases, Block Watch patrol kit supplies, attaches, briefcases, day planners, card holders, staplers, staples, paperclips, rubber bands, pens, pencils, paper, envelopes, tape, file cabinet folders and dividers, labels, binders, organizers. FAX, printer, and copier supplies: Toner, ink cartridges, printer ribbons, and paper.

• CLOTHING : Any clothing items including: T-shirts, shirts, pants, jackets, safety vests, skirts, uniforms, hats, gloves costumes, and related items such as fabrics, costume rentals, patrol packs.

• COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT : Telephones (does not include cell phones), scanners, two-way radios, Internet service, any charges, fees, miscellaneous items, or services (voice mail, information lines, HOT lines, chargers for scanners, phone bills, etc…) related to communication equipment.

• CELLULAR PHONES : Cellular phones and any fees, charges, miscellaneous equipment, or services related to cellular phones.

• HARDWARE ITEMS :Miscellaneous Items: Batteries, smoke detectors, CO detectors, fire/smoke alarms, safety glasses, deadbolt locks, locks, meter boxes, lumber, fencing supplies, cement, mounting hardware, nuts, bolts, brackets, and sandpaper; Yard Equipment: Lawn mowers, weed/pesticide sprayers, electric/gas trimmers, edgers, clippers, trash containers, rakes, misting systems, hoses, mask, and gloves; Paint Supplies: Paint sprayers, sprayer hoses/nozzles, mask, brushes, paint, and stencils; Tools: hammers, chain saws, drills, saws, screwdrivers, wrenches, extension cords, shovels, wheel barrows, and post hole diggers.

• LIGHTING : Any type of lights (solar, security, mag, spots, motion detection, sensor), bulbs, flashlights, poles, related hardware, and equipment.

• HUMAN SERVICES : Any services provided by individuals, including teaching, instructing, accounting, repairs, construction, referees, security, yard work, and medical services.

• OTHER :Miscellaneous Items: Games, park benches, picnic tables, tables, chairs, drinking fountains, books, maps, speed humps, ice chests, rides, sheet music, patrol equipment; Supplies: Medical, safety, various arts/crafts, educational/instructional materials, landscaping, janitorial, and cooking.
• AUTO EXPENSES : Any expenses related to transportation, trips, fuel/gas, mileage, and travel.

• SIGNAGE : Any type of signs (McGruff N'hood, Block Watch, No Trespassing, magnetic, neighborhood, safe houses, event reminders) and related hardware, equipment, or supplies used to install signs. EXCEPTION: Paint and stencils are listed in the Hardware Items category.

• SPORTS EQUIPMENT : Bikes, volleyballs, footballs, basketballs, hoops, baseballs, bats, mitts, pool tables, vinyl flooring for dancing or exercising, foosball tables, ping pong tables, and parallel bars. All miscellaneous items pertaining to sports equipment, including bike repair kits/security cables/locks, transporting equipment, carry bags, knee pads, elbow pads, helmets, other safety equipment.
