On February 22nd, 2013 Phoenix Police Officer Don “Twinkle Toes” Vallejo gave of his time and of himself to participate in the National Kidney Foundation of Arizona’s “Dancing with the Stars Arizona, 2013” fund raising event at the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Don partnered with professional dancer Briana Santiago and wowed the crowd with an electrifying Swing/Quick Step to a “Hawaii Five-O” theme song remix. Don, who also participated in the event last year, said “I really enjoyed being a part of Dancing with the Stars Arizona. I had a super partner in Briana and we worked hard on our choreography. The dance routine was a lot of fun and it was really all for a great cause”.

Don has been a Phoenix Police Officer for 13 years and he served our country a member of the United States Air Force for 15 years prior to joining our department. As if serving the citizens of Phoenix is not enough, Don is also active in his community and he is involved with organizations such as “Aunt Rita’s Foundation”,  “Friends of Animal Care and Control” and of course the Arizona Kidney Foundation.

By the way, Don is now dubbed “Twinkle Toes” based on the fact that he was awarded first runner-up in the “Gentlemen’s Category” by the judges for his smooth moves and his appeal to the audience.

Dancing with the Stars Arizona, 2013 raised around $650.000.00 for the Arizona Kidney Foundation and Don certainly did his part! Don represented himself and the Phoenix Police Department well; Thanks Sir.
