Welcome to the Cactus Park Precinct!
-Commander Benny Piña
See the Your Neighborhood section for current Crime Trends and Precinct Actions. CACTUS PARK COMMUNITY ALLIANCEThe Cactus Park Community Alliance welcomes you to the increasing number of neighborhood organizations operating within the Cactus Park Police Precinct. We also extend an invitation to you to become a part of our family of neighborhood groups. The Cactus Park Community Alliance was organized to bring together neighborhood groups located within the Cactus Park Police Precinct. CPCA facilitates interactions between neighborhoods, government, and law enforcement; focusing on crime prevention and quality of life improvements within the Cactus Park Precinct service area. For information email CPCA at: CommunityInfo@CPCAaz.org AUTHORITY TO ARREST TRESPASSERSWhy is a completed Authority to Arrest form and proper signage a good thing? When your business is closed (unoccupied), if an officer sees someone on your property they suspect does not belong there, they can make an arrest if your property has “No Trespassing” signs posted and has an Authority to Arrest form on file with the police department. Without these items, the officer does not have your authority to arrest someone on your private property. When you complete the form you are giving us the authority to act on your behalf. You must also have the proper signage at all reasonable points of entry onto your property (where a normal customer would be expected to pass in order to enter your premises). Something else to keep in mind…an officer may issue a Citation in Lieu of Detention. This means the suspect is signing a promise to appear in court in lieu of going to jail, although it is still considered an arrest. Once completed, you can submit a Authority to Arrest form by fax or email. Patrol WatchPolice officers can patrol your home or business if you are experiencing troubles at the location or if you plan to be gone for an extended period of time. To request a patrol watch please contact the station and the information will be taken for your beat officer. Graffiti CrimesGraffiti Hotline 602-262-7327 Reporting CrimeFor emergencies, call 9-1-1. To make a crime report, call Crime Stop at (602) 262-6151. The report may be taken over the telephone OR an officer may be sent to your location, depending on the type of incident. It is important to file police reports on all crimes that occur, no matter how minor they may seem at the moment. If we do not have reports, we cannot develop a true picture of what is happening in your neighborhood. |
