Phoenix Police officers didn’t hesitate to provide toys for a 6-year old girl who was recently injured at a self storage facility.
The child had been playing ball when she managed to squeeze her body through the metal bars, as she was trying to retrieve the ball. When a code was entered, she accidentally got pinned in between the metal bars and a block wall by the sliding automatic gate. Her dad was able to eventually get her released. She was transported to the hospital and is now doing fine.
When Phoenix police officers learned this child and her siblings had a limited amount of play area around the gate, and very few toys, they pooled their time and money to buy items for the children. About $300 was raised, in a short period of time and the toys have been delivered.
