Date/Time: April 7th, 2001/1549 hours
Location: South 13th Avenue/West Southern Avenue
Victim: Hispanic, male. 30-40 years of age, 5’8”, 160 pounds, brown eyes/hair
(Please see further description below.)

On April 7th, 2001, at around 3:45 p.m., a body was found in a field in the area of South 13th Avenue and West Southern Avenue. The level of decomposition indicated the victim was likely deceased at the location for a couple of days before being located.  The victim was wearing green jeans, a purple and black jacket, a plaid shirt, and a cloth necklace. It was later determined the victim died from an overdose.

No missing person reports were ever found that matched the victim description.

The victim had very distinctive, colorful tattoos over much of his body, which we are hoping will make him easy to identify.

The Phoenix Police Department has enlisted the services of Kirt Messick, our Photo Forensic Specialist, who has created a computer generated, three dimensional figure of the victim. The image depicts some of the more distinguishable tattoos worn by the victim and we are hoping someone, a family member, loved one or perhaps a friend will help tell us who this victim is.
