The city of Phoenix Landbase or “Base Map” was created to provide accurate mapping and geo-spatial analysis services to city departments and the public by utilizing Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology. The Landbase is built from legally recorded documents such as subdivision plats, ordinances, resolutions, and ownership deeds.
