NOTICE OF RESULTS

PHOENIX HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION

 

Pursuant to A.R.S. Section 38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the PHOENIX HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION and to the general public, that the PHOENIX HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION held a meeting open to the public on Monday, November 16, 2009, at 4:45 p.m. located in the City Council Subcommittee Room, 2nd Floor, Historic City Hall, 17 South 2nd Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona.

REQUEST FOR HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOND FUNDS FOR MARIPOSA STREET REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

 

Action Requested:  Recommendation to City Council on Use of Historic Preservation Bond Funds

 

Ms. Foley moved that the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) recommend City Council approval to expend up to $27,000 in Historic Preservation Bond funds for exterior rehabilitation work on historic properties at 40, 42, 50, 54 and 96 W. Mariposa St. in the Pierson Place Historic District, seconded by Mr. Chapman.

USE OF THREATENED AND WAREHOUSE BUILDING BOND FUNDS TO ACQUIRE THREATENED HISTORIC PROPERTIES

 

Action Requested:  Review and Possible Action Regarding Acquisition Policy

 

Ms. Foley moved to approve the acquisition of threatened historic buildings under the Historic Warehouse and Threatened Building Program as recommended in the staff report, seconded by Mr. Dombek.

Mr. Chapman moved to initiate HP overlay zoning for the property known as the Arizona Sash, Door & Glass Company Warehouse, located at 850 W. Lincoln Street, seconded by Commissioner Wilson.
