Volunteer!
As a volunteer you play an essential role in Pueblo Grande Museum’s mission of interpretation, research and preservation. Volunteers enhance the visitor’s experience and make learning possible and enjoyable. Volunteers also help our staff behind the scenes.

Many of the benefits of volunteering at Pueblo Grande Museum are tangible – gaining insight into the latest in archaeology and museology, learning new skills, meeting new people with similar interests, enriching the experience of visitors of all ages and backgrounds, and be a part of an award-winning, accredited museum.

Pueblo Grande Museum is looking for volunteers in the areas listed below. Volunteer Opportunities

Museum Docents
Museum Docents lead tours in the exhibit galleries and outdoor ruins. Docents also do fun and educational craft activities with school groups. Docents provide outreaches to schools and at special events. Needed weekdays and weekends.

Museum Store
The Museum Store is looking for volunteers to greet and assist customers. Volunteers should be friendly and customer oriented. Needed weekdays and weekends.

Museum Collections Assistant
Assist the Collections staff in storing, labeling and inventory. Needed weekdays.

Research Library
Assist with general library duties. Needed weekdays.

Ruin Stabilization
Assist with the on-going effort of preserving the prehistoric ruins at Pueblo Grande Museum. Needed on a limited basis.
