Maryvale Golf Course
Designed by William F. Bell, creator of San Diego's fabled Torrey Pines, Maryvale is widely lined with mature trees, manicured fairways with frequent doglegs bending in either direction. A championship-length course, it is suitable for all skill levels. Maryvale has become well known for its excellent practice facilities and its popular junior golf program, which instructed many of Arizona's golf professionals.

Guy (Gee) Rodrigue, PGA Golf Professional. Guy Rodrigue, PGA, has worked in the golf industry since 1980, working at a variety of golf courses throughout the Valley. Guy became a PGA Professional in 1987 and has worked at Encanto 18, Encanto 9 and Maryvale Golf Courses during his career with Phoenix Golf. Originating from Montreal, Canada, Guy speaks fluent French. |

John Gavelys, Golf Supervisor Lead. John has been with Phoenix Golf for 19 years as the Golf Course Superintendent at Maryvale. John also assumes the Golf Supervisor Lead Position for Phoenix Golf, overseeing the maintenance at all of the Phoenix Golf courses. John began his career in golf in 1966 in Central Illinois and became a Golf Superintendent in 1973. |
Pro Shop
The Maryvale Pro Shop, staffed by the Head Golf Professional, staffed by the Head Golf Professional, is a full-service facility, featuring apparel, shoes, clubs, rental clubs, golf bags and golf accessories for men, women and junior golfers.
Maryvale Coffee Shop
The restaurant features a grill menu for breakfast and lunch, and offers beer and wine. Open sunrise to sunset. The Maryvale Coffee Shop features indoor seating for 50. For catering of special events, contact Richard Gonzales at (602) 568-1968.
Golf Lessons
Golf lessons, taught by PGA and LPGA members, are provided to individuals and groups. Clinics and video lessons are also available. Lessons are scheduled individually by the instructor. Call the golf course of your choice to set up a private or group lesson.
Golf Clinics
Clinics for beginners, intermediate and advanced golfers are scheduled throughout the year. Junior clinics are offered in the summer and fall. For scheduling and rates call Laura Yotter, Golf Resource Development Coordinator at (602) 262-5088.
Tournaments
Maryvale Golf Course hosts a variety of tournaments. Booking is recommended a year in advance for weekend dates, and all requests for tournaments after initial screening should be directed to Laura Yotter, Golf Resource Development Coordinator at (602) 262-5088. Youth Golf Classes
PGA professionals teach golf to area youth, ages 8 to 17, in year-round low cost classes which typically last about a month. To register, individuals should sign up at the golf course. Golf classes are halted in October to accommodate reseeding of the practice tees with winter grass. Click here for more information and the current Junior Golf schedule.
