AMP Island 1 & 2
located in Encanto Park

Features: This park, located in central Phoenix, has two uncovered Island Picnic areas available for reservations Monday through Sunday during park hours. Located on Amphitheater Island (called Amp Island 1 & Amp Island 2).There are no reservations on holidays. Each area has 6 picnic tables and 1 grill. Each area's capacity is 50 people. Groups with more than 50 people can reserve the entire space. They can be reserved separately or together. Amplified sound is allowed at this location with a permit. Reserved together the two picnic areas can accommodate up to 300 people. Currently there is no charge for reserving AMP Island. Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance.

Guidelines: Amplified music is permitted on the Island area only with staff approval and a sound permit. Inflatables are allowed with an inflatable permit.Fees are based on whole day reservations. Beer is allowed only with alcohol permit. |

Features: This park, also located in central Phoenix, has two ramadas, each with a capacity of 75 people available for reservations seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Ramadas are not reservable on most holidays and when large special events are scheduled at the park. Inflatable moonwalks and on-site catering require prior approval from park manager by calling (602) 262-4634.

Guidelines: The ramadas must be reserved two full working days prior to reservation. Reserved ramadas must be claimed within 30 minutes of requested start time or they will lose their reservation and park staff will not be available to open gates, ramada and/or restrooms. Piñatas and water balloons are not allowed. No amplified music is permitted in the ramada areas. Ramadas are lighted, fenced, gated and locked. When not reserved, the ramadas are available for walk-in use between Monday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There is no driving or skating of any kind on park grounds. Use of any type of tape is prohibited. Reservations can be made no more than 6 months in advance. Beer is permitted with an alcohol permit. |

LARGE RAMADA AREA:
• Rentals are allowed for a minimum of 1 up to all 7 Ramada’s. Each Ramada has four tables which seat approx. 8 per table, for a total capacity per ramada of 32. Total Capacity of all seven ramadas is 224+. Each table is ADA compatible for wheel chairs.
• Group one includes Ramada’s, Verbena, Willow (shared grill and counter) & Saguaro (grill and counter) on the west side of the group Ramada’s.
• Group two on the north side of the area are Ramada’s Yucca and Agave with a shared grill and counter.
• Group three on the south are Ramada’s Cholla and Acacia with a shared grill and counter.
• Four Ramada’s have grills , sinks, counter top/serving area and electrical outlets.

• Rental fee is $25/hr per Ramada plus a refundable deposit. Minimum rental of two Ramadas is required.
• Rental party is responsible for cleaning and trash removal; failure to clean the Ramada will result in charge to deposit at $54 hourly maintenance rate.
• Ramada reservations accepted up to six months in advance.
• Reservation accepted at PRD Community Centers and division offices.
• All seven Ramada’s must be reserved to purchase a sound permit through PRD for live music or amplified sound.
• The large group Ramada available “by reservation only”.
• The large group Ramada was part of Steele Indian School Park’s master plan.
• Private donations were raised by our community partner, Phoenix Community Alliance to build the large group Ramada.
