An opportunity for business professionals to mentor middle school students
Councilman Claude Mattox with student Vidal Robles |
Designed to foster a mentoring relationship, Let's Do Lunch gives students an opportunity to interact with a business professional twice per month. The adult mentors discuss their careers and emphasize the value of education. Their role can also serve as reinforcement for effective study skills and provide young people with a sense of direction to make the proper choices in life. Research says that mentors make a difference!
Let's Do Lunch is an initiative made possible through
the collaborative work of the
College of Education at Northern
Arizona University, the Alhambra
Elementary School District, the city
of Phoenix, the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce
and the United States
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
