America's Friendliest Airport

CUSTOMS & IMMIGRATION

At Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, you will find one of the most efficient international arrival facilities in the nation.

In most cases, international flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport arrive at Terminal 4 where these facilities are located. Luggage is unloaded by the airline and brought to the international arrivals baggage claim area. Luggage carts are available free of charge for international arrivals.

The International Pedestrian Walkway guides passengers from Customs, through a tunnel, to a 500-foot moving walkway running parallel to Sky Harbor Boulevard. An elevator and pedestrian bridge then leads international passengers to level three of Terminal 4, to the non-secure portion of the terminal.

To meet a passenger arriving in Phoenix aboard an international flight, wait at the International Arrivals Waiting Area in Terminal 4, on Level 3 at the east end by Starbucks.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), is responsible for keeping America’s borders safe and secure. On March 1, 2003, CBP combined the inspectional workforces and broad border authorities of the U.S. Customs Service with three other agencies: Immigration and Naturalization Service, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service and the Border Patrol.

Visit the travel section of the CBP Web site at www.cbp.gov for the most up-to-date international traveler information.
