City Mourns Police Officer
On
Oct. 25, 2008, the city of Phoenix Police Department lost another
one of its own.
Officer Shane Figueroa, 25, died in a traffic collision
at 19th Avenue and Roeser Road as he was responding to a call of
shots fired.
Officer Figueroa had served on the force less than
three years. He is survived by his wife, a three-month-old baby,
and an extended family.
This is another tremendous loss, not only to Officer
Figueroa’s family and the Phoenix Police Department, but also to
the community.

Donations can be made to M and I Bank in the name
of Melisha or Kenzlie Figueroa (the wife and daughter of Officer
Figueroa).
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made
to the 100 Club.
