October 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams discusses the newly-formed Pioneer Village Development
Group along with the comprehensive services provided by the city of
Phoenix to victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
September 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams discusses the city's Shop Phoenix program with Paul
Katsenes, assistant director for Community and Economic Development,
and JoAnn Truax, general manager for Outlets at Anthem. Williams then
speaks with Deputy City Manager Ed Zuercher about the city's Special
Revenue Task force and the ideas they've been coming up with to generate
new revenue.
June 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams meets Phoenix Fire Captain and Investigator Fred Andes
and Sadie to discuss arson investigations and how K-9's play a role
in clearance rates. She also learns how residents can protect their
community from blight as a result of foreclosures and what services
the city provides to prevent foreclosures.
April 29, 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams meets with two students recognized as the Outstanding
Young Man and Woman for District 1. She'll discuss the selected Points
of Pride, including one located in her district. Williams also learns
about a kids' gun safety program held at the Pioneer Living History
Village. To close the show, she'll highlight the various summer programs
offered by the city's Parks and Recreation Department.
April 4, 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams discusses the city's ongoing fight against graffiti
and what the Neighborhood Services Department is doing to capture
taggers in the act. She discusses the recent budget cuts and how they
will impact residents in her district. To close the show, Williams
discusses the new circulator that provides a free ride to residents
around their north Phoenix community.
March 2008 - Councilwoman
Thelda Williams has community leader Lou Snow and business leader
Michael Fisher on the show along with Police Commander T.J. Martin
to discuss the Metrocenter Fight Back effort and the importance of
the Fight Back program.
