With METRO light rail now testing cars in downtown Phoenix, Mattox speaks with a representative from METRO Light Rail to provide an overview pedestrian and vehicle safety tips. To close the show, he discusses the city's sustainability efforts along with its plentiful water supply.
video icon September 2008 - Councilman Claude Mattox discusses a river-rafting trip with Mainstream Expeditions that he recently took part in as part of a program organized by River of Dreams, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. He'll feature a Guinness World Record breaking event that he kicked off with Team Gray Whales. Councilman Mattox also will speak with a representative from the Phoenix Police Department about the Stop Random Gunfire Poster Contest for students grades K-8.

Mattox also meets one of the youngest swimmers to swim the treacherous 1.4 mile stretch of frigid water between the infamous Alcatraz Island and the shores of San Francisco.
