September 2009 - Councilman
Michael Nowakowski speaks with a representative from the Phoenix Police
Department about the Stop Random Gunfire Poster Contest for students
grades K-8. He learns about a new police precinct that will serve
his district and the Phoenix Neighborhood Patrol. He also meets with
active community leaders to discuss what they're doing to get their
neighborhoods engaged with G.A.I.N., which is a day of celebration
for the successes of crime prevention through community involvement.
June 2009 - Councilman
Michael Nowakowski discusses how Phoenix was recently named the All-America
City Award with members of the delegation. He features the recent
growth in Laveen and shares with residents how they can donate to
the Hermosillo Fire Relief Fund. He also learns about an upcoming
event hosted by the Latino Institute and highlights the grand opening
of the College Depot.
May 2009 - Councilman
Michael Nowakowski discusses the Take Back Your Neighborhood initiative
and a pilot recycling program launching in his district. He learns
about the city's College Depot and to close the show, Nowakowski highlights
different summer programs offered at city pools.
March 2009
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski talks to Cesar E. Chavez Foundation
board members about the upcoming Cesar Chavez Dinner and speaks with
a representative from Blue Cross Blue Shield, the event's sponsor.
Next, the councilman learns about the Educating the Heart School Program
through the Cesar E. Chavez Foundation speaks to the grandson of Cesar
Chavez to hear about his family's legacy.
February 2009
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski talks to the Phoenix Suns President
and a deputy city manager about the 2009 NBA All-Star game hosted
in Phoenix. Next, the councilman learns how citizens can lend a hand
to the city during difficult economic times. To close, Councilman
Nowakowski speaks to two unique District 7 restaurants located along
the METRO Light Rail.
January 2009
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski meets with several members of his
district's Village Planning Committees to recap the past year and
discuss the new challenges ahead.
December 2008
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski highlights several holiday and cultural
celebrations, celebrates Del Monte's 100th anniversary and discusses
how residents can help those in need through programs offered by the
city's Human Services Department.
November 2008
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski is On the Road at Desert Sky Mall,
the largest retail center in his district. Join him as he Shops Phoenix!
October 2008
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski discusses the city's clean-up and
public safety efforts after a recent storm. Phoenix Police shares
Halloween safety tips and he learns about several Halloween events
throughout his district. To close the show, he highlights a traditional
Mexican holiday - Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), which honors
friends and relatives who have passed away.
September 2008
- Councilman Michael Nowakowski is On the Road to celebrate Hispanic

activists and small business owners.
